Laura Gibson is the founder of LMG Veterinary Physiotherapy. She is a fully qualified and insured Veterinary Physiotherapist. Laura is also a member of The Institute of Registered Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapists (IRVAP).

Laura has worked with horses since being a teenager and has worked within lots of different disciplines including eventing, showjumping, dressage, polo and more. She has always grown up around a wide variety of dogs and is not often seen without her gorgeous homebred Springador, Titch, in tow.

Once completing GCSE’s Laura attended Hartpury College to complete a BTEC in equine performance finishing with the highest grade of her year. She then stayed on at Hartpury College to complete a BSc Hons in Equine Management. Whilst at university Laura developed a passion for biomechanics and locomotion stemming from managing and rehabilitating injuries and medical conditions. She competed her own horse in British Showjumping alongside her studies as well as having a few young horses that she produced for an owner.

Once Laura completed her BSc (Hons) degree she worked for four years on various yards of different disciplines including showjumping, polo, eventing, and dressage as a rider and groom. This provided her with invaluable experience of the demands different disciplines require as well as dealing with a wide variety of horses.

Discovering the best way to achieve the top performance from our horses is what further sparked her interest in the musculoskeletal system and functional anatomy.

She was then inspired to train as a Veterinary Physiotherapist which she did so at the University of Nottingham graduating with a Postgraduate Diploma. She is forever striving to expand her knowledge and further her skill set through CPD.
