Thank you for entrusting the care and attention of your animal to Laura Gibson trading as LMG Veterinary Physiotherapy. By registering your animal and booking an appointment you agree that you have read and understood our conditions of business and agree to be bound by them

1. Treatment and Veterinary Referral

In accordance with the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966, all animals treated by LMG Veterinary Physiotherapy must have consent from their Veterinary Surgeon prior to the first appointment. This can be in the form of a paper Veterinary Referral form found on the website or by filling in the online new client registration form, also found on the website, and the veterinary surgeon replying with consent.

You agree that LMG Veterinary Physiotherapy can contact your veterinary surgeon to ascertain the health status of your pet and thus their suitability to receive physiotherapy treatment if deemed necessary.

2. Data Protection

Any personal data collected by LMG Veterinary Physiotherapy will be kept securely for up to 7 years; this is a requirement for insurance purposes. The data and records of your animal’s treatments will only be shared with you, your vet, and where relevant, insurance or debt collector companies. The data collected will be used as a record of your animal’s treatment and any changes that may occur in their health. You have the right to request access to your data, request correction (if any errors in the data are identified) or deletion at any time.

Information will be shared ONLY with your animal’s vet or other veterinary professionals involved in their care for the purposes of keeping them informed of progress of patients under their care as is required by law. The physiotherapist/ client relationship is founded on trust and in normal circumstance we will not discuss or disclose to any third party any information about client or animal without either express or implied consent.

3. Veterinary Physiotherapy Fees

LMG Veterinary Physiotherapy fees are below and are determined by the levels of expertise and time spent on a case. Invoices will be produced within 7 days of the treatment. No VAT is Chargeable.

Equine Treatments
Initial Consultations – £65
Follow Up Appointments – £55

Canine/Small Animal Treatments
Initial Consultation – £50
Follow Up Appointments – £40

4. Settlement Terms

Payment is due immediately after each treatment unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing with LMG Veterinary Physiotherapy in advance. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or BACS.

Should an account not be settled LMG Veterinary Physiotherapy reserves the right to charge an administration fee of £20 per invoice unpaid plus interest at the rate of 20% per annum. LMG Veterinary Physiotherapy also reserves the right to withdraw from future treatments

For clients wishing to utilise their pet insurance to claim for physiotherapy sessions, the animal’s owner is liable for all charges and, payment is due by animal owner at the time of treatment and should be claimed back from the insurance company by the owner. LMG Veterinary Physiotherapy will complete the relevant section of the insurance form to facilitate this if required. LMG Veterinary Physiotherapy cannot make direct claims from the insurance company on your behalf.

5. Cancellations

If you need to cancel an appointment a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required, without which the owner is liable for the full treatment charge.

LMG Veterinary Physiotherapy reserves the right to refuse treatment to any animal.

6. Treatment

If your animal has an infectious/contagious condition you must inform LMG Veterinary Physiotherapy a soon as possible, giving at least 24 hours’ notice, in order to reschedule your appointment.

Your animal must have been free from symptoms of sickness for 48 hours before commencing physiotherapy treatment.

You agree that LMG Veterinary Physiotherapy can contact your veterinary surgeon to ascertain the health status of your pet and thus their suitability to receive physiotherapy treatment if deemed necessary.

Equine clients are asked to make sure their horses are clean and dry for treatment otherwise treatment may not be possible.
